Physiotherapy classes for Weavers

Ms. Reene Songer, a volunteer physiotherapist at the JDWNRH, will be giving free classes on physiotherapy to the RTA weavers for a week. She hopes that, with regular practice, it will reduce back-aches and other joint pains which most of the weavers complain.

Led by the Chief Justice Lyonpo Tshering Wangchuk, staff of the Supreme Court of Bhutan visited the Royal Textile Academy (RTA) this morning. An exhibition titled “Tashi Gomang: A National Treasure of Bhutan,” was inaugurated on 5th November 2016 at the Royal Textile Academy. 2016 marks the 400 years of the legacy of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel. To commemorate and pay tribute to the Zhabdrung, Her Majesty Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck inaugurated two exhibitions at the Royal Textile Academy today.
